Writing
For this writing process, we will use Google Drive. Within the shared folder of Google Drive, you can create documents, read other's work and change each other's work. Make sure you always log in with the email address you've supplied to your teacher, otherwise you won't be able to see the shared folder.
Step #1: Think of a topic, focusing on an international disaster. It should be something someone could be arrested for, e.g. a company dumping chemicals into a river or selling faulty products. Step #2: Write a short outline, summarising all the major events in the mock trial (pieces of evidence, witness claims, surprise confessions). Provide two endings: one for guilty and one for not guilty. Step #3: Choose a role. This will be under the supervision of the teacher, to ensure that there is as much Indian-Dutch cooperation as possible. Step #4: Write the dialogues (questions and answers) relevant to your topic with a partner from the other school. This should again consist of as much Dutch cooperation as possible: an Indian prosecutor will interview a Dutch witness. These two students will write this dialogue. Step #5: Keep a logbook of your cooperation. In rare cases, Indian-Dutch cooperation will be minimal, because of assigned roles. However, most if not all of you will be able to find a partner from the other school. Step #6: These separate dialogues will be combined in a single document. |
